North Andover, Massachusetts, February 5, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - ACTING OUT! Theater Company, a community theater group, presents Annie Get Your Gun at The Rogers Center for the Arts at Merrimack College, North Andover, MA, February 27th, 28th and March 1st, 2015.
 
Acting Out! Theater Company saddles up to take you on a fun-filled trip back in time as they ride along with Annie Oakley, a backwoods gal with a sure-shot and quick wit. Annie will delight and amaze as she challenges dashing marksman, Frank Butler, to be the star of Buffalo Bill’s traveling show. This rollicking spectacle will have sparks flying faster than bullets as the competition and romance heat up. Featuring some of Irving Berlin’s (not to mention  Broadway’s) greatest songs, “There’s  No Business Like Show Business,”  “Anything You Can Do,” “ I Got The Sun In The Morning,” and “You Can’t Get A Man With A Gun,” this Broadway classic hits the bulls-eye every time! 
 
The winner of two Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, a Drama Desk Award and a Grammy, Annie Get Your Gun has been thrilling audiences since 1946 with the tale of America’s first female superstar. With larger than life characters, timeless songs, high-stepping dance performances, outstanding scenery, and spectacular costumes, Annie Get Your Gun is an American masterpiece!

The ACTING OUT! Theater Company, Inc. was formed in 2002 and is located at 56 Island Street in Lawrence, and 72 Elm Street, North Andover.  Acting Out! reaches out to the public to provide opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to become involved in theatrical stage productions (as performer, crew, publicity, administrative assistance, or as a member of the audience) in a fun, supportive environment.  Cast and crew hail from all over the Merrimack Valley, including Andover, North Andover, Haverhill, Methuen, Lawrence, Beverly, and Bradford, as well from Billerica, Melrose, Boston and Southern New Hampshire.
 
“We are so amazed at the wonderful performances we receive from people who never even considered performing before we approached them to audition.” says Acting Out!’s Vice President, Dave Cook.  This is the organization’s 14th year and, along with their children’s theater sessions, they produce full scale, royalty productions throughout the year.
