Veterans Salute Sundays at the American Village in Montevallo, Alabama

Through art, sculpture, graphics and multimedia technology, the National Veterans Shrine and Register of Honor tells the stories of those in each generation who have served and sacrificed for America and for liberty.

Montevallo, Alabama, May 21, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The story of American liberty is written in ink on the parchment of the Declaration of Independence, and it is written in blood shed on hallowed ground. Who are our veterans? What did they do for our country? What do we owe them? They came from all walks of life, from rural farms, from small towns to big cities, to answer our country’s call.  They served in war and peace; their lives, and ours, were changed. They became a band of brothers, and sisters. They all have stories that must be told.
