Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association Presents Cinco de Mayo Festival by the Portland Development Commission, Portland, OR

 

This event is the main fundraiser for the PGSCAS's charitable activities and will feature fun activities for all ages, including authentic food, live entertainment, carnival rides, among other attractions.

 

 

Portland, Oregon, April 15, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association (PGSCA) Cinco de Mayo Presented by the Portland Development Commission have announced the 31st Annual Cinco de Mayo, commencing Saturday May 2nd, Sunday May 3rd, Tuesday May 5th (closed Monday May 4th) at The Tom McCall Waterfront Park on Naito Parkway, Portland, OR, from 11am until 11pm.

 

This event is the main fundraiser for the PGSCAS's charitable activities and will feature fun activities for all ages, including authentic food, live entertainment, carnival rides, among other attractions.

 

AWARD - Portland’s Cinco de Mayo Celebration was selected by Oregon Festivals and Events Association (OFEA) for its Ovation Award for staging Oregon’s Best Heritage or Cultural Event celebrated during 2012. The award was presented at the association’s annual conference in Seaside.

Two Stages of Entertainment- Various times
World Record Attempt- Saturday, May 2nd 5:30-6:30pm
Miss Cinco de Mayo Crowning - Sunday, May 3rd 4:30-5:30pm
USA Boxing- Saturday, May 2nd - 2pm to 5:30pm
Lucha Libra- masked wrestlers perform Sunday, May 3rd 2:30 & 5pm Tuesday, May 5th 3:30pm & 5pm
Live Butterfly Exhibit- Every day 11am until 9pm
Children Area- Every day noon until 10:30pm
Artisan Village- Every day 11am until 10:30pm
Day of Dead exhibit – Everyday 11am until 10:30
Funtastic carnival – Open 11am to 11pm
Tequila/ Beer Cantina – Open 11am to 10:30pm

 

Admission: Adults 13 years and older: $8.00; Child 6 years to 12 years: $4.00; Seniors 62 years and older: $4.00; Children 6 years and under free. Compliments of Pacific North West Regional Council of Carpenters.
