Fredericksburg Kids Expo returns for another year of fun for the Kids

 

 

Fredericksburg, Virginia, February 2, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Annual Fredericksburg Kids Expo, with presenting Sponsor Fredericksburg Parent Magazine, will be held at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center (2371 Carl D Silver Parkway) on Saturday, February 14 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, February 15 from  11am-4pm. 
 
This is a show for babies, tots, kids, tweeners and the entire family. Enjoy an exciting weekend where expecting parents, new and seasoned moms and dads, child care takers, and grandparents are guaranteed to discover something new.
 
The Fredericksburg Kids Expo will showcase exhibit booths featuring toys and games, sports and fitness, learning devices, safety products, health and nutrition, pediatricians, martial arts, dancing, day cares, schools, natural products, activity equipment, camps and more for every age and child. 
 
But most of all, the Kids Expo is about fun for the kids, which is why there are so many fun-themed interactive features that everyone in the family can enjoy.  Some of these special attractions include the following with more being added every day:
 
Fredericksburg Parent Magazine: At the parent booth have your child’s picture taken and imposed on a picture that looks like you are on the front of an issue of the Fredericksburg Parent Magazine. Plus this will enter you into the Fred Parent Cover Contest, which could land your child on a real front cover of a 2015 Fredericksburg Parent Magazine. A portion of your entry fees will benefit a local non-profit.

 

Fredericksburg Parent Science Lab:  The Fredericksburg Parent Science Lab will have STEM related demonstrations including HDT Engineering’s Robotic Arm, the library’s computer science demonstration and local schools’ robotic teams demonstrations.  STEM related experiments and activities will be going on both days.

 

Free entertainment for the kids will include: Fredericksburg’s largest sand box, provided by A.B. Kearns; petting zoo by Broken Road Farms; inflatable jump rentals – crab cake, slide, wipe out, zorb; K-9 demos; on site CPR instructions; ambulance, tower truck, fire truck, police cruisers; bike patrol education booth; fire safety house; calling 911 education booth; antique ambulance; armored tactical vehicle unit.

 

Kids activities for a small fee includes face painting, train rides, slot car races, model car race track races.
 
REPTILES:  Spotsylvania Sherriff’s Department: Spotsylvania Animal Control under the jurisdiction of the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Department will be on hand with reptiles.  They will have a vehicle onsite for the kids to take a look inside of their animal gathering truck.
 
Demonstrations / Seminar on Stage: Dancing Studio performances, Martial Arts Demonstrations and board breaking
Dr. YUM will provide important nutritional advice on Sunday!
 
Wegmans will be onsite encouraging healthy snack eating.
