17th Annual Bandera Riverfest to be held
June 28th at City Park, Bandera, TX

Bandera, Texas, June 3rd, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Itís time to get wet at the 17th Annual Bandera Riverfest held June 28th at City Park (1102 Maple Street), Bandera, Texas.

 

Put on your river shoes and join in for a day of fun on the Medina River. There will be arts & crafts, an Open Car Show, Bandera Idol competition, music, a Lone Star BBQ Society cook-off competition, and plenty of food and drink.  There are no fees to enter the many fun things to do at Riverfest, such as the river rodeo (this is the Cowboy Capital of the World), kayak races, and the Anything That Floats Regatta. You can enter your own homemade float - trophies awarded in six categories. There are a lot of free children's' activities:  a beach to build sand castles, a giant slip and slide and a watermelon and hot dog eating contest.  There are tubes and kayaks to rent or you can bring your own. Bring your dog, too. There is a free Frisbee competition where your dog can show off his ability to swim for a Frisbee. There are prizes for all events. 

 

Admission:  $10 for adults, $5.00 for Seniors 55 and up, Children 12 and under free.  Active Military with I.D. free.
