Drummer Jim McCarty, a founding member of The Yardbirds, leads a top-notch band. Handling lead guitar duets is Johnny A (Peter Wolf, Bobby Whitlock), widely regarded as one of the top players on today’s scene. He follows in the footsteps of three of the world’s most renowned guitarists — Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck — who all took turns as front men for The Yardbirds.

Rounding out the group are bassist Kenny Aaronson (Bob Dylan, Billy Idol), singer/blues harpist/percussionist Mike Scavone (Ram Jam & Doughboys), and guitarist/singer John Idan. The show promises to be hard-charging nod to the past, with a modern twist.

Woodstock-based favorites Connor Kennedy & Minstrel will open for The Yardbirds. Professor Louie & the Crowmatix will provide pre-show entertainment on the WIOX Dining Deck beginning at 6:30 p.m.
