A Day of Wine, Food, Music & Fun at 4th Annual Brandywine Food & Wine Festival

Lewisville (Chester County), Pennsylvania, May 27, 2015 – The fourth annual Brandywine Food & Wine Festival, presented by The Brandywine Valley Wine Trail, Delaware Today and Main Line Today,  will be held on  June 13th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Greater Chester Valley Sports Association, 137 Line Road, Malvern, PA. The festival will celebrate food, wine, music and crafts.

Festival attendees can sample regional wines from thirteen wineries.  Included in this year’s line-up are wineries from the neighboring states of New Jersey and Delaware. “These wineries are part of the Vintage Atlantic Wine Region, the area’s newest collaborative effort to market wineries in southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey, Delaware and Maryland’s eastern shore. All of these areas are an easy drive from our location, ” said Karen Cline, Marketing Manager of the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail. “We’re happy to be able to include the Vintage Atlantic Wine Region members at our event because our wineries support one another. This festival provides a great chance to taste, learn about and enjoy local and regional wines.”

A variety of foods and sweet treats will be available at the festival from twenty-three vendors.  Festival attendees can enjoy artisan cheeses from Farm Fromage, a purveyor of  local cheeses. Several of last year’s food vendors are back by popular demand:  Sherri’s Crab Cakes, Amani’s BYOB, Thunder Ridge Kettle Corn and Forno Inferno.  Sweet treats can be had from Bridge Street Chocolates, Dia Doce Gourmet Cupcakes and Kilby Cream. New vendors cover a wide swath of culinary territory: Conebella Farm Cheese, Flour & Oats Artisan Cookies, MacDougall’s Irish Victory Cakes and the Mistress of Spice, to name just a few.

Twenty-six local artisans will feature a wide variety of crafts and artwork.  Jewelry, pottery, paintings, custom sewn clothing and luxury spa items are just a few of the items that will be on hand for shopping fun.

Music will be provided throughout the day by two local bands.  Brian Brazil and the Hard Case Blues Band will open the day at noon with their special brand of blues music.  Later in the afternoon, the crowd will be dancing to covers spanning the 1960’s to the present by Powerhouse.

“This festival just gets better each year. We’ve grown over the past few years and we had to find a larger venue. We found that at the Greater Chester Valley Sports Association in Malvern.  The location is easy find and we have plenty of free parking,” explained Cline.

“There is something for everyone at the Brandywine Food & Wine Festival. There is no better way to spend the day than sampling the region’s best local wines and foods, and shopping for local crafts.”
