Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia Presents the Complete Bach Suites for Solo Cello

Richmond, Virginia, November 21, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia, one of the most innovative and accessible classical music organizations in Virginia, celebrates its tenth anniversary in the 2014/2015 concert season.

CMSCVA continues this special year with a not-to-be-missed evening featuring some of the most beloved chamber music of J.S. Bach, the six suites for solo cello. This concert is a rare opportunity to hear all six suites in one evening, and a chance to hear them performed the way Bach would have heard them - on period cellos with four and five strings.

These iconic works of Baroque music are presented on Tuesday December 16th at 7:30pm at the Church of the Holy Comforter (4819 Monument Ave., Richmond). Performers for this event are cellists Beiliang Zhu, winner of the 2012 International Bach Competition in Leipzig, and CMSCVA Artistic Director James Wilson.

Admission: $25 Regular, $20 Senior (60+), $5 Student. Find out more at
