Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia opens its tenth anniversary season with the music of Vienna: Austro-Hungarian Waltz

Richmond, Virginia, September 22, 2014 ( -  The Chamber Music Society of Central Virginia, one of the most innovative and accessible classical music organizations in Virginia, celebrates its tenth anniversary in the 2014 / 2015 concert season. CMSCVA will kick off this special year in October with two concerts inspired by the city of Vienna. These concerts will take listeners on a musical journey from the classics of old Vienna to contemporary chamber music inspired by Mozart and Schubert - all through exciting performances that bridge the gaps between old and new.
The Viennese theme is celebrated on Monday October 27th at 7:30pm at Bon Air Presbyterian Church (9201 W. Huguenot Rd., Richmond), in a concert entitled “Austro-Hungarian Waltz.” In no doubt what will be an audience favorite for the CMSCVA season, this concert will feature beloved chamber music classics by Haydn and Dohnanyi, along with a set of waltzes by composers including Strauss and Korngold.
Joining the Society as guests for this event will be six world-class classical musicians from the US and abroad.

Admission: $25 Regular, $20 Senior (60+), $5 Student. Find out more at
