City of Oakland Hosts “An Intimate Evening,” July 26, 2013

 

An Elegant Evening of Music, Food, Silent Auction and Entertainment
 

 

Oakland, California – Oakland Parks and Recreation (OPR) invites you to “An Intimate Evening”  of entertainment, music, dancing, carriage rides, Mansion tours, Gatsby cars, and silent auction at the beautiful 50-acre park setting Dunsmuir Hellman Historic Estate on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. The white attire evening will feature vintage music of Legends of Soul Tribute Band; Feral Moon; The Fire Department; Pulse Brasil; Kenneth"Brick" Cooper; and more. The event promises to bring laughter and energy while dancing and learning moves such as salsa, square dancing, line dancing and Chicago Steppin.’
 
“Intimate Evening” is a celebration and demonstration of the essential role of parks and recreation in individual and community health; and in exposing, enlightening, empowering and encouraging educational excellence through recreation experiences. It is an opportunity for OPR to express its gratitude and appreciation to the community for support over the years in an intimate, relaxing and mutually enjoyable environment.
