Are you going to China with Chicago's Protégé Philharmonic

 

 

Chicago, Illinois, August 24, 2016 - Auditions for The Protégé Philharmonic 2016-17 Season and its concert tour to China will take place September 3 to 4, 2016 at Classical Symphony Hall, 218 South Wabash Ave., Suite 260, Chicago, IL.
 
As a Protege Philharmonic member, you can climb the Great Wall of China.  Or members can perform 3 side-by-side concerts while collaborating with Chinese professional musicians.  Or visit the Xian Tera Cotta Soldier Museum and see the army of Tera Cotta Soldiers.
 
This will be the 10th international concert tour by The Protégé Philharmonic and the 5th tour to China.  Past concert tours have traveled to Taiwan, Japan, Ukraine, Poland, Brazil, Argentina, and China.
 
The China international concert tour is a great opportunity for member musicians to experience other cultures, including sightseeing and guided tours in the cities of Beijing, Xi’an, and Chengdu. But most importantly members have the opportunity to bring the joy of music from Chicago to the rest of the world through the wonderful performances by talented member musicians and the opportunity to collaborate with Chinese professional musicians.
 
The Protégé Philharmonic is offering an exciting opportunity for high school and advanced junior high school musicians to experience professional level orchestra training in an intimate, challenging and supportive learning environment. Members of The Protégé Philharmonic rehearse and perform the finest orchestral literature creating a lifelong appreciation and love of music.  This year’s graduating seniors were accepted into prestigious schools throughout the United States and Canada and won over $250,000 in college scholarship money.
 
The Protégé Philharmonic offers a great environment where you create amazing music, rehearse, learn, perform great repertoire and make great friends. Every member contributes to a great experience for the entire orchestra.
 
Celebrating its 26th Season of high quality music education, training, and performance for young high school music students in the Chicago area, The Protégé Philharmonic builds the future of classical music through the cultivation of young artists using incredible orchestral training opportunities with fantastic literature.
 
Auditions are at the Classical Symphony Hall, 218 South Wabash Avenue, Suite 260, Chicago, Illinois.
 
Audition Fee: $35.00. Auditions are conducted by Joseph Glymph, Music Director.
