The Classical Symphony Orchestra of Chicago Announces its First Concert of the 2015 Summer Season, July 12

Chicago, Illinois, June 30, 2015 - The Classical Symphony Orchestra will be giving its first concert of the 2015 Summer Season on Sunday, July 12, 2015. The concert will be performed in the Robin Bennett Theatre at Jones College Prep High School, located at 700 South State Street, Chicago (public transportation stops at the front door).  Parking is located across the street from the Theatre.  Ticket prices are $10.00 general admission.

The concert begins with the very boisterous potpourri of student drinking songs a
la Suppe,  Brahms's Academic Festival Overture.  Next, close your eyes and listen to the stately music for a royal court in Water Music Suite (arr. by Hamilton Harty) by Handel.  Tchaikovsky's exciting and sensuous  Symphony No. 5 in E Minor, Op. 64, closes out the program.  Joseph Glymph, Founder and Music Director, said, "I have chosen music that has brilliant orchestra colors, fits the summertime, and in all three cases, tells wonderfully engaging stories."
