Cotton County Art Council Presents 47th Arts & Crafts Festival, Walters, OK



Walters, Oklahoma, March 23, 2015 ( - The Cotton County Art Council is gearing up for a fantastic 2015 Arts and Crafts Festival which will be Saturday, April 25th from 9am to 4pm at the Comanche Nation Community Center located on Highway 53 just east of Walters, Oklahoma. The Council has hosted an art show every year since 1976, and they are excited to be having their 47th show. The Festival will have a wide variety of fine art by local and visiting artists as well as a varied assortment of craft and vendor booths. Admission is free.
Judge for the event will be well known award-winning artist Kaye Franklin of Graham, Texas. Artists and crafters will be competing to win over $2000 in prizes . There will also be a section of student art from the local Middle School and High School. Visitors will be able to indulge in tasty Indian tacos made by Lou Pueblo and delicious locally made desserts provided by the Walters Senior Citizen Center.
The Festival is made possible by a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council and generous donations from Walters Bank and Trust, Arvest Bank, Walters Chamber of Commerce and the citizens and merchants of Cotton County. There will be door prizes awarded throughout the festival and highlighting the end of the festival will be drawings for two $100 credit cards.
