The Festival has selected Performing Stars of Marin as the beneficiary. Donation proceeds help support the "Zydeco for Kids" project, a musical project for youth boys in Marin County. The program combines traditional and newly composed music, exploring the Creole culture and Zydeco, the music of Southwest Louisiana.

 

Sausalito, California, March 13, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Celebrating its third year, The Creole United Festival (www.creoleunitedfestival.com) will feature the music, the food, the dance and the rich Creole culture that will provide attendees an unforgettable day. There is no admission fee, donations at the entrance are much appreciated. The Festival will be held October 17, 2015, at 11am-6pm at Dunphy Park (10 miles north of San Francisco) in Sausalito, California.

 

This one day event brings high energy, captivating entertainment by the best Zydeco and new "Alternative Creole" sounds, featuring live musical performances by Grammy Nominated Andre Thierry, with special guest bands from Louisiana and Texas.

 

Additional performances include award winning local music and youth performance by Performing Stars of Marin, "Zydeco for Kids" music project.

 

Dunphy Park in Sausalito, California, known for its mild weather and legendary waterfront, makes it a popular destination for the Festival. This beautiful venue’s downtown boutique hotels, a diverse geography and a vibrant arts and culture scene is convenient for Festival attendees to make a weekend of it.

 

Delight in the Sausalito sights and Zydeco sounds of the Festival, Waterfront Reserved Table area. This exclusive area allows your group to get away from the crowd and enjoy the Festival in a relaxed setting along the water.

 

You can purchase a table for ten or individual seats. Guests will enjoy "Taste The South" cookout serving delicious southern savory and sweet sensations.

 

 

There will be fun for all ages, plenty of lawn seating, wood dance floor, Zydeco dance lessons, and community outreach booths. The Kidz Korner will provide games, creative arts, crafts and music activities. Festival goers will find an assortment of delicious food vendors selling California and Louisiana Creole favorites; gumbo, jambalaya, alligator, red beans & rice, a variety of mouthwatering BBQ and seafood, southern desserts, cold beer, wine, beverages and more.
