Decatur Civic Center continues community's first music event with SpringStock2015, Decatur, IL, March 21

Decatur, Illinois, March 13, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - What better way to break the grip of winter than with the warmth of music?  SpringStock2015 will help the good people of central Illinois shake off the cold and celebrate the arrival of spring.  Itís a complete celebration with good food, cold drinks and hot music.

Decatur Civic Center is hosting this annual event, March 21st at #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza, Decatur, IL.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, on-line, or call the box office at (217) 422-6161. Admission is $18.00.

Davina and the Vagabonds open the show with New Orleans style and sass.  The band has created a stir with their high-energy shows, sharp-dressed professionalism, and leader, Davina Sowers.  Davinaís voice and stage presence defy description.  She has been compared to Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, even Betty Boop, but comparisons donít suffice: Davina is a true original.  Decatur will a last stop before departing to the United Kingdom for an April tour.

Corey Stevens hails from southern Illinois and graduated SIU with a B.A. in Music.  Coreyís classical training and influences from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton and three decades of writing, recording and touring have rendered him a guitar legend in his own right.  For a true guitar enthusiast Corey Stevensí performance is not to be missed.  The haunting sounds and smooth leads will make one wonder, just who deserves the moniker, ďSlow Hand.Ē

SpringStock2015 is more than music, itís an opportunity to gather with friends and family to enjoy southern cooking washed down with cold beverages for every age.
