Virginia's Eastern Shore Artisans Host Holiday Tour Featuring Local Work

Temperanceville, Virginia, November 4, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Eastern Shore Artisans Guild will hold its 12th Annual Holiday Tour on Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29 from 10 am till 5 pm.  This is a free, self-directed and self-driven tour.  There are ten stops off Rt. 13 in Accomack and Northampton counties, stretching from Cape Charles in the south to Onancock in the north.  The stops include six artisan studios, two historical buildings, an alpaca farm, and a vineyard/winery.  Together they will host a total of twenty-one juried guild members and their hand made work.

Visitors on the tour will discover a wide variety of high quality items, most of which are one-of-a-kind pieces. Jewelry, decoys, wildlife carvings, ceramics, art quilts, pottery, metal sculptures, wearable fiber, Windsor chairs and more will be found at the various stops on the tour.

The work created by ESAG artisans is inspired by the unique beauty and history of Virginia's Eastern Shore, and most incorporate materials found or produced locally. ESAG members are dedicated to promoting and preserving the rich artistic heritage of the area.  Light refreshments will be available at most stops.
