Fiber Artisans Eagerly Awaiting the 9th Annual Fiber Expo
in Ann Arbor, Michigan
In recent years there has been a resurgence of interest in
the fiber arts. The sustainable and green movement has brought a new life to
the age old crafts of felting, knitting, spinning and other crafts using natural

in the air. People are digging out their cool weather clothes. It is a
perfect time of year to head over to Fiber
Expo, where those that love making and using things from natural fibers
meet. There is nothing better than finding a new pair of cozy wool
mittens, taking a class on how to make a felted purse, or being face to face
with a cute alpaca.
Many local residents as well as people from neighboring
states will be “flocking” to the Fall Fiber Expo that is taking place October 24
&25, 2015 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The Spring Fiber Expo is scheduled for April 9
& 10, 2016.
Classes will be available in many of the fiber arts such as
knitting, weaving, rug hooking, and felting. Vendors will be on site offering a
wide selection of products. Breeders will be exhibiting some of their
fiber animals such as alpacas, sheep, and angora rabbits at the show to educate
the public about their care.
Fiber Expo will take place October 24, 9-5 and October 25, 10-4.
