Florida's Gainesville Fine Arts Association Presents Two Art Venues Festivals - Where Art and Culture Meet

 

 

Gainesville, Florida (September 23, 2013) - Established in 1923, the non-profit 501(c)3, Gainesville, Florida based Gainesville Fine Arts Association (GFAA) produces, sponsors and promotes two art festivals each year.


On
​October 12 & 13, 2013,​ Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm,​ GFAA produces the Art Festival at Thornebrook, a juried show with awards, is held in the beautifully tree lined park-like setting of Thornebrook Village located at 2441 NW 43rd Street. This two day show includes fine artist and craftsmen, photographers, quilters, and glassblowers from various states with their own distinctive artistic styles. Plus, see the artist in action in their booths, roving and live stage entertainment, kids zone,  local merchants and galleries.


On
March 7th - 9th, 2014, 10 am- 5 pm,  GFAA produces the Winter Fine Arts Fair at Tioga, considered the most artist friendly art fair in Florida, according to Florida Magazine. This unique festival begins with a night-time opening, with lighted artist booths, live stage entertainment surrounded by an aerial backdrop of thousands of stringed lights throughout the streets of the beautiful Town of Tioga located, on Newberry Road. This festival includes awards, public art sculptures, many artist in action in their booths, live stage entertainment, student artist corner, and the local merchants.
