Gem Miner's Jubilee Features New Panning Sluice, Lebanon, PA, August 15 to 17

 

 

Lebanon, Pennsylvania, July 28, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Gem Miner's Jubilee, the Mid-Atlantic’s premium gem, jewelry, bead, mineral and arts and crafts show, will be conducting its 17th annual event at the Lebanon, PA County Fairgrounds and Expo Center, August 15-17. The Jubilee is a major production in the gem show circuit and an international event with vendors from around the world.  This year’s show features Mohawk Valley Mining’s popular indoor “Panning for Gems in our Sluice.”  There are educational exhibits, classes and demonstrations.  Visit www.gem-show.com for additional information and a discount admission coupon.

 

Inside the expansive, air conditioned facility there are dozens of dealers, both wholesale and retail. The variety of items for sale include rough rock, finished fine jewelry, faceting rough, minerals, fossils, beads, loose gemstones, cabochons, pearls, carvings, crystals, spheres and much more. There are items of interest for even the most eclectic of collectors. Several artisans are able to do work for you on the premises. This includes wire wrapping, stone setting, bead stringing and general jewelry repair. 

The dealer pool is extensive. Many are source dealers, i.e. they are the miners, producers or manufacturers. There is a list of mini seminars, demonstrations and classes hosted by the dealers. Hours Friday and Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-4. Admission is $6 for adults and free for children under 12.  The event is at PA Turnpike Exit #266, Rt. 72 North, then right to 80 Rocherty Road.
