Hadley's Hartsbrook School Presents the Real Spirit of the Season: Connection, Creativity and Crafts

Hartsbrook is a Waldorf school, sharing its educational philosophy with over a thousand schools in the world.   The school nurtures the individual gifts of each student, while providing a strong foundation in academics, arts, music, practical arts and land stewardship.

Hadley, Massachusetts, November 10, 2015 - On Saturday, November 21st, The Hartsbrook School will present its annual Holiday Fair at their expansive campus in Hadley, MA.  Juried local artisans, candle making, gingerbread decorating, marionette shows, fiddle music, hay rides, jump rope making and homemade food make this event a tradition for many local families.   “I have at least eight handmade jump ropes at my house,” says one parent of an eighth grader, “one for each year we have come to the fair.”  What regulars most enjoy about the fair is its simplicity and authenticity, a welcome break from the materialism of the holidays.

This yearly Hartsbrook event, shared with Waldorf schools across the globe, transforms the campus into a delightful fair that celebrates the local community, showcases the school and savors the holiday season. Music and pageantry abound, as well as craft making, puppet shows and model classrooms for visitors to explore.  Local artisans offer unique handmade items for sale, demonstrating the wealth of artistic talent in the Pioneer Valley.  The fair will be celebrated from 10 am to 4 pm at the school’s campus, 193 Bay Road in Hadley.  Admission is free.

Shop and socialize without the children at their Friday night bazaar from 5-8:30 pm (Nov. 20).
