Harvest Festival® Original Art and Craft Show
Headed to Three Northern California Locations
There are over 200 artists at each show and all of them are
vetted by management to ensure products are diverse and made by hand in the
United States. Attendees can meet the independent artisans who created each
product and often get purchases personalized.

This fall, the largest indoor arts and craft show of its
kind is headed to three Northern California locations to offer a full weekend of
shopping, food, entertainment and fun.
The Harvest Festival® Original Art and
Craft Shows boast over 24,000 original arts and crafts. The event showcases
thousands of various handmade gifts, including jewelry, woodturnings, art and
photography, specialty foods, blown glass, handbags, toys, clothing, décor and

The first stop of the November shows is the San Mateo Harvest Festival,
happening November 15-17 at the San Mateo Event Center.

Mateo Harvest Festival will feature exciting live music from the Hollywood
Beetles, an amazing Beatles tribute band, as well as comedian John Park who is
known for his "Funny Waiter" show. The little ones can take part in the hands-on
KidZone offering gingerbread cookie decorating and free child ID kits from New
The Peninsula Humane Society, the official charity of the show, will be on hand
hosting a mobile pet adoption center at the front of the show. Plus, anyone who
brings a non perishable food donation for Loaves and Fishes Family Kitchen
receives $2 off admission at the door.
Next, the show travels north for the
Sacramento Harvest Festival, taking place November 22-24 at the Cal Expo
Pavilion. Opening the weekend right before Thanksgiving, the Sacramento Harvest
Festival boasts all sorts of ideas for Turkey Day, from fall themed table
decorations to easy no-bake pumpkin pies.
Harvest Festival will showcase live music from the Fargo Brothers as well as
Cash Tribute featuring James Garner. Throughout the event there will be
strolling entertainers such as Mama Claus, Eddie the Elf and Fables of the West.
The KidZone in Sacramento is sponsored by Nature of Art for Kids, a company
offering eco friendly and non-toxic art supplies. Kids will be able to make art
projects using recycled, earth friendly products.
The AT&T Pioneers, the official charity of the Sacramento show, will host a gift
wrapping station and the Elk Grove Food Bank Services will collect canned food
donations at the front entrance. Anyone who brings a non-perishable or monetary
donation gets $2 off admission.
The Harvest Festivals wrap up their Northern California tour with their
Friday show in San Jose, happening November 29-December 1 at the San Jose
Scott Land Marionettes will be one of the featured stage acts, performing funny
and heartwarming stories with whimsical puppets. Scott Land is well known in
Hollywood and has worked on major motion pictures including Team America: World
Police and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
The KidZone will be expanding at the San Jose Harvest Festival to include both
the eco-friendly art activities and the gingerbread cookie decorating. Plus, on
Saturday November 30th, there will be a special appearance from noon-2pm
by Danny the Dragon, the mascot for the Happy Hollow Zoo.
The final show
of the season, the
Harvest Festival, will end in Southern California at the Fairplex December
At each show, guests can enter to win the Grand Prize, which will be announced
after the last show in December. The Grand Prize is an exquisite Randy Polk
designed ring and bracelet with Mother of Pearl, diamonds and orange sapphires,
valued at over $5,000. It is the highest valued Grand Prize that the Harvest
Festival has ever offered.
The Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show began 41 years ago in San
Francisco and was designed as a marketplace for independent artists and crafts
people to come together to showcase and sell their merchandise. The show
continues that tradition today by only offering American, handmade arts and
crafts in a fun and festive environment.
Tickets are $9 general admission, $7 seniors (62+), $4 youth (13-17) and
