Take a Sweet Breath of Summer by Touring Beautiful Gardens in the Seattle Area, Highline Historical Society Garden Tour

 

The self-guided tour, taking place in three cities In suburban Seattle, includes plant sales, artists and musicians in the gardens, and information on landscaping with native plants.

 

 

Seahurst, Washington, May 27, 2015 - From an estate garden, to a native plant haven, to a property dedicated to sustainable gardening practices, and more – the six gardens featured during this year’s Highline Garden Tour showcase an inspiring range of horticultural features and cultivation practices.
 
This popular annual event, which focuses on gardens in Burien, Normandy Park and SeaTac, will take place on Saturday, June 13. Tickets are now on sale. The self-guided tour includes plant sales, artists and musicians in the gardens, and information on landscaping with native plants.
 
This year's event also features a "Golden Ticket" raffle, with tickets at $50. The winning Golden Ticket holder will receive $1000 of gardening services.
 
Coupons and other specials are being provided by tour sponsors Wild Birds Unlimited, Burien Bark, The Bean, The Mark Restaurant and John L. Scott realtor Susan Plecko.
 
TICKETS: If you are a member of the
Highline Historical Society, show your membership card and buy your ticket for $8. (For this discount, only memberships are accepted, not Admit One coupons.) Advance tickets for the tour are $15 in advance, with group rates of $12 per person if bought in groups of four or more. Non-member tickets will be $18 on the day of the tour.
