Indianapolis Early Music Festival expected to draw record crowds, July 10 and 12

Indianapolis, Indiana, March 16, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The Indianapolis Early Music Festival (www.emindy.org) will end its 49th season on July 10 and 12 with two dazzling performances. Praised by Fanfare for its “wonderful, vital and buoyant performances,” Trio Setticento’s passionate and authoritative interpretations renew the pleasures of hearing beloved music from the Age of Enlightenment while also revealing the delights of new discoveries. Imagination, vigor, technical polish and historical insight have made the Trio’s performances appealing to audiences and critics alike. They will appear on the stage of America’s longest continually running early music festival on July 10, for a 7:30 pm performance at the Indiana History Center (450 W. Ohio Street, Indianapolis IN).

Taking the stage on July 12 at 4:00 pm will be violinist Rachel Barton Pine who has an extraordinary gift for connecting with her audiences. She has received worldwide acclaim for her virtuosic technical mastery, lustrous tone and perceptive performances. Her passion for research allows her to bring historically-informed interpretations to her diverse repertoire, and her work as a philanthropist continues to inspire the next generation of artists. The program called VIVA VIVALD III will include such instruments as baroque violin, vioa d’amore, viola da gamba, baroque cello, harpsichord, positive organ, fortepiano.

Tickets are $22 and are free for students. Each concert ticket includes a pre-concert chat and a post-concert reception with the artists. For more information visit www.emindy.org or 317 577-9731.
