19th annual Music Smorgasbord Under the Carolina Moon, Camden, SC, July 12th

 

Camden, South Carolina, July 2, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Music festival aficionados and families seeking memorable summer fun wonít want to miss the 19th annual Jamminí in July Music Festival at Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site, Camden, SC, on July 12 from 5:00-11:00 pm (gates open 4:30 pm).

 

The historic grounds provide an inviting backdrop for 10 Midlands bands  to perform an engaging, energetic musical Smorgasbord: Blue Phoenix (5:00 pm blues with folk flavor), Brik Cash and Friends (5:25 pm original pop rock), Frederick Ingram (5:50 pm alternative folk/rock), East of West (6:25 pm original country rock), The Society Jazz Band (6:55 pm Dixieland), Fair Jam (7:30 pm rock/shades of bluegrass), Jim Hayes (8:00 pm classic/contemporary rock ), The Bunch Quitters (8:35 pm original folk, bluegrass, Western cowboy), Jacob Johnson Group (9:40 pm neo-acoustic folk/funk), and Finale (10:45 pm, mix of band members celebrating The Rolling Stonesí acoustic side). 

 

Kids, coolers, blankets and lawn chairs are welcome (no pets, glass bottles or tents).  Admission: $20 adults, $18 seniors and military, $4 ages 6-12, and free under six. $2 discount tickets available at Historic Camden through Friday, July 11th. Rain location:  833 South Broad in downtown Camden.

 

Tasty fare will be provided by Old South Restaurant, Mae Frances, Pizza Hut and Palmetto Coffee & Tea Room. Collectible 2014 Jamminí T-shirt are $15.  Free parking is located in the big field next to Historic Camdenís main entrance.

Jacob Johnson, a young, energetic performer and SC native, has shared stages with songwriting masters from Edwin McCain to David Wilcox, and hangs out with guitar heroes like Tommy Emmanuel and Tim Reynolds (right-hand man to Dave Matthews.)
