Jane Butel Announces 32nd Year of Full Participation Cooking Classes, Corrales, New Mexico

Corrales, New Mexico, January 28, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Starting in 1983 in a leased Bed and Breakfast Inn in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Jane Butel conducted her first week-long full participation cooking class.  Now, 32 successful years later, Butel is teaching these highly rated classes in Corrales, NM in her own home kitchen.

 

Through the years, she has garnered high praise from many publications including feature stories in “Bon Appetit” magazine, the “New York Times,” “Good Housekeeping,” “Redbook,” “Travel and Leisure” and many more.  “Bon Appetit” rated her school as the “Best in the US” in 1996.  Her Mexican Regional Schools conducted at the Fairmont Princess Hotel in Scottsdale were recognized as the “Best Hotel Based Cooking School in America” and one of the ten best in the world.  She developed the series for presentation at the Hacienda restaurant at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess hotel where it received such rave reviews as “This was the best experience”, by Julie Hall and “you will never know how much I enjoyed the cooking school last weekend, you are a great teacher”, Betty Gentile.

 

Jane Butel’s award winning Cooking School is continuing its weekend and week-long classes for the 32nd  year.  The professional kitchen in Corrales, New Mexico is located between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. The menus for the week-long class have been revised to include Mexican Regional selections from the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess series such as Moles, Chilaquiles, Pollo Cachuate, Tres Leches Cake and much more.  These recipes are now featured in “Jane Butel’s  Best of Mexican Regional Recipes” cookbook, based on  her classes.

 

The 2015 week-long schools are set for February 22-27 and August 16-21, 2015. The dates for the weekend classes  are March 20-22nd, April 17-19, May 15-17, July 17-19, September 18-20,  October 10-12 and  November 14-16, 2015. 

 

RATES: $1,950.00 for week long class; $1050.00 for weekend class

 

Each class is full hands-on participation and is preceded by a review of the history of the major ingredients as well as hints and tips for success with the recipes as well as “important to know” culinary techniques such as knife selection and use, sauce making, tips for baking, meat cookery and more.

 

Hands-on Team Building, Dinner Party, Special Event and demonstration classes are also featured and are very popular with corporate, club, private and convention groups.
