Celebrate All Things Pear at the 22nd Kelseyville Pear Festival, Kelseyville, CA, September 27th

Kelseyville, California, August 5, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, marks the 22nd annual Kelseyville Pear Festival, Kelseyville, CA. Admission to the Festival is a free, family-focused event showcasing the greater Kelseyville  area’s agritourism, history, local businesses, craftsmen and community services.

Join in the fun filled day with a home town parade starting on Main Street in Kelseyville. Festivities include a children’s area, musicians, dancers and cloggers; horse demonstrations; antique cars, engine and tractor shows; quilt and art shows and an entire pavilion devoted to all things ‘pear.’ Food vendors, wine and beer tasting along with pear margaritas are served all day. Pear pies and desserts sell out early.

One of California’s hottest new wine destinations, Lake County is just two hours by car from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento Valley, and Pacific Coast. Lake County is home to Clear Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in California and one of the oldest lakes on the continent, and Mount Konocti, an ancient volcano that recently opened to offer one of the newest day hikes in the state. Visit Lake County to enjoy the state’s cleanest air, spectacular scenic beauty, and unsurpassed recreation — hiking, biking, wine tasting, paddling, fishing, birding, golfing, off-road adventures, and even rock-hounding.

Stroll down Main Street in Kelseyville and enjoy the small town magic.
