New York, New York, October 14, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Not enough schmaltz in your life? Smile, weep, sigh and reminisce, when the Light Opera of New York presents “Gypsies and Barons and Heirs,” a trip through old world operetta gems, at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South, on Wednesday, October 22 at 7:30pm.

Everyone knows The Merry Widow and Die Fledermaus, but this is also an opportunity to hear some amazing “Danubian treasures” that are not as well known, performed by five versatile artists: Byron Singleton, Charlotte Detrick, Carter Lynch, C. David Morrow and Narine Ojakhyan. "Gypsies and Barons and Heirs" will make the journey from evocative Romany tunes all the way to the fox trot. Savor the imaginative choreography of Corin Hollifield, with Musical Director Elizabeth Hastings at the piano.
