Mount Holly, North Carolina, July 14, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The 7th annual Mount Holly Art & Music Festival is a celebration of art, music, wine, beer and food. It will be held on Friday, September 26 & Saturday, September 27, 2014 on Main Street in historic downtown Mount Holly, North Carolina.  The festival has become a time-honored tradition in Mount Holly and its surrounding areas with thousands attending.  This year the festival features 2 days of music, longer hours, more food vendors, and lots of entertainment. Admission is free.

The festival will officially open Friday evening at 6 PM as two great bands take the stage that evening, Coming Up Brass and Sol Fusion.  It is expected to be the largest dance party Mount Holly has ever seen.

On Saturday, the festival hours will be from 11AM – 10PM. Original arts and crafts created by artist and crafts people from across the region will be showcased for sale.  Stick around to see who wins “Best of Show.” Two stages, The Americana Stage and The Eclectic Stage, will feature local and name bands performing simultaneously throughout the day. This year’s headliner band, Big Daddy Love, will perform at 8 PM.

New this year, the festival will have a Kids Zone designed to immerse kids, of all ages, into art and music activities.  There will be a lot of interactive opportunities for the festival attendees, including a social media photo contest.  Take your best picture of the festival and use the hashtag #MHAMF2014. Post to their Facebook page for a chance to win $100.

NC wineries will be on hand with free samples of their wines. Wines will also be for sale from their collections by either the glass or bottle. Wineries attending this year are: Fiddler's Vineyard, Cherryville, NC, Southern Charms Winery, WoodMill Winery, Vale, NC.
