Naples Botanical Garden Presents Hats in the Garden: The Faces of Naples

 

 

Naples, Florida, August 22, 2016 - Naples Botanical Gardenís Hats in the Garden debuted in Naples in 2004 and is known as the official kickoff to the social season. The event is supported by the Sustaining Leadership Council, a group of 38 dynamic women who dedicate time and charitable support to the Gardenís special events and mission-focused programs.
 
Last season, the 12th annual Hats in the Garden, presented by Northern Trust and chaired by Leslie Fogg and Kathleen Rooney, netted a record $470,000 with an additional $66,000 raised during the luncheonís Fund-a-Garden for Naples Botanical Gardenís Rare Orchid Program. The fashion show, ďConfection Collection: Delectable Designs from Garden to Runway,Ē featured confectionary creations from the regionís top caterers paired with couture from the Saks Fifth Avenue Carolina Herrera collection.
 
Naples Botanical Garden will host the 13th Annual Hats in the Garden, presented by Northern Trust on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from
11:30 am - 2 pm. at 4820 Bayshore Drive, Naples, Florida. The event, where 550 guests debut their finest millinery begins with a cocktail reception throughout the Eleanor and Nicholas Chabraja Visitor Center and gardens, followed by a tented luncheon on the Sustaining Leadership Council Plaza. Hats in the Garden 2016 is chaired by Kathryn Woods and the Patron Party on Monday, November 7th will be hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Brown. There is currently a wait list for individual tickets; patron tickets are still available.

About Naples Botanical Garden:
Naples Botanical Garden is a 170-acre world-class garden paradise that features the plants and cultures of the tropics and subtropics between the latitudes of 26 degrees North and 26 degrees South including Brazil, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia and Florida. Hours of operation are 9 am Ė 5 pm every day, with an early opening on Tuesdays at 8 am. Regular admission is $14.95 for adults, $9.95 for children (4-14), members and children 3 and under get in free. The Garden will be closed on Wednesday, November 9 until 3 pm, at which time the gates will reopen until 5 pm for free to the public.
