40th National Old Time Country, Bluegrass, & Folk Music Festival, August 31 to September 6, LeMars, Iowa
 
Held at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds in LeMars, Iowa, the internationally well known 40th Old-Time Country, Bluegrass, & Folk Music Festival has been going non-stop for 40 years. As a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation devoted and dedicated to keeping acoustic rural country music alive, founder Bob Everhart, is a recording artist for the Smithsonian Institution, and has successfully directed all 40 annual events.

LeMars, Iowa, August 18, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Due to additional space available at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds in LeMars, Iowa, the internationally well known 40th Old-Time Music, Arts, Crafts, & Flea Market Festival now has more space for vendors.  "At $10 a day for a 10'x10' space  it is a real bargain considering the huge number of people we have for seven days, August 31 to September 6," said Festival Director Bob Everhart.
 
Celebrities this year will be Anita Bryant, Rex Allen Jr.,Terry Smith, and Roni Stoneman
, with additional professional performers from around the world.

The event, which has been going for 40 years, is the largest gathering of old-time music makers and fans in mid-America.  "We'll have over 600 musicians this year on 10 stages, including Hall of Fame inductions and RRMC CD's of the Year awards," Everhart said, "including special guests like  Taylor Pie who used to work with Don Williams in the Pozo-Seco singers, and Joni Morris from California, as well as Randy Barlow who was a very successful 70's singer of country music.  Don King, an incredible country songwriter from Nashvillwe will be joined by songwriters like Terry Smith who wrote "Far Side Banks of Jordan" for Johnny Cash, and Wally Sanderson, a songwriter from Australia.   Add to that a Guitar Pull, a Harmonica Howl, a Fiddler's Jubilee featuring Wade Landry a champion Cajun fiddler from Branson, and Dennis Stroughmatt a French Creole fiddler from Illinois, Storytelling, a Banjo Jamboree, an Autoharp Gathering, a Dulcimer Do, a Poets Corner, an Accordion & Concertina Get Together, a huge Band Scramble, six nights of dancing, ten stages of continuous entertainment 9am-midnight daily (including Bluegrass bands) great food, and international performers. 
 
40th Annual National Old Time Country Bluegrass and Old-Time Folk Music Festival, Contest and Pioneer Expo of Arts & Crafts and Rural Lifestyle - August 31 to September 6, 2015 from 11am to 11pm (Mon-Tue-Wed-Thur) and 9am-midnight (Fri-Sat-Sun) on ten stages. 
 
Admission: $15 per day (Mon-Thur) $20 per day (Fri-Sun) per person, under 17 free: 7-day special gate pass
$75.  RV camping with electricity $15 per day. Without electricity $10 per day.
 
Everhart, along with his wife Sheila, record for the Smithsonian Institution, with six albums available.  They are also the curators of the Pioneer Music Museum in Anita, Iowa, where they live, as well as a performance center called the Oak Tree.  
 
The Everhart's Rural Roots Music Festival will be held, October 2-3-4, 2015 at Christensen Field House, Fremont, Nebraska and will feature June Webb, the only female ever hired to work with Roy Acuff's Smokey Mountain Boys, Terry Smith, Bobby Awe, and Dale Eichor, plus many more..
