Second Annual New England Blues Summit

 

The premiere showcase for regional and national blues artists.

 

 

 

Hyannis, Massachusetts, March 6, 2017 - Rhythm Room Entertainment and ESP Sound Systems announce the premiere event for lovers of blues music, The Second Annual New England Blues Summit at The Cape Cod Resort and Conference Center. The Resort (35 Scudder Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601) opens its doors for an all-inclusive weekend of great food and great music.
 
Friday afternoon starts with registration and local blues act Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish filling out the lounge with music. Friday night music starts with Anthony Gomes, and finishes with headlining duo of Tommy Castro and Mike Zito with a stop on their Six-Strings Down Tour. Following that will be an Invitational Afterhours Blues Jam.
 
A brunch buffet starts Saturday, with music all day with Grits & Groceries Orchestra and the Willie J. Laws Band. The afternoon features a Youth Showcase, Panel Discussion and acoustic blues with Mark T. Small & Dave Howard.
 
Saturday night offers performances by the Anthony Geraci and the Boston Blues All-Stars with headlining act Shemekia Copeland (daughter of blues legend Johnny Copeland). Then the Saturday night edition of the Invitational Afterhours Blues Jam.
 
On Sunday Racky Thomas will have his Traveling Medicine Show Revival.
 
The Farewell Blues Jam will round out the weekend with the legendary Toni Lynn Washington, Sam Gentile, Bruce Bears, Sonya Rae and Ryan Taylor.

 

Tickets: Friday Night, April 28th, 2017, Grand Ballroom Show Only $35.00 ($40 Day of Show). Saturday Night, April 29th, 2017, Grand Ballroom Show Only $35.00 ($40 Day of Show) ALL DAY Saturday, April 29th, 2017, Day Events & Grand Ballroom Show $50.00 ($60 Day of Show). ABOUT RHYTHM ROOM ENTERTAINMENT: John Hall founded Rhythm Room Entertainment (formerly Rhythm Room Records) in 1990, with a storefront in Marshfield MA. He is a former board member of the Boston Blues Society, serving as director of advertising and special events. His love of live music was the driving force for starting the North River Blues Festival (celebrating its 21st year in 2016) and The Green Harbor Roots Festival.


About ESP Sound Systems: Paul Duffley is the owner and a lover of good music, especially when it is cleanly mixed. He is the sound engineer for the Harp in downtown Boston as well as being the soundman for Clutch Grabwell. He will be providing sound for this event.
