Old Town Art Fair Historic Garden Walk, Chicago, June 13 to 14

 

The Old Town Art Fair includes a wonderful, winding, self-guided Garden Walk throughout historic Old Town Triangle neighborhood. Approximately 50 gardens will be on display during the Old Town Art Fair, many open to the public only during this weekend. The gardens range from free-form and unfettered to more structured and manicured.

Chicago, Illinois, May 14, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - On June 13 and 14th the Old Town Triangle Association will host their annual Garden Walk. The Garden Walk is one of the highlights of the Old Town Art Fair held that weekend.
 
The Garden Walk will feature over 50 gardens in the Old Town Triangle neighborhood. This is one of Chicago’s most charming neighborhoods with tree-lined streets and lovely old homes. The Triangle is a protected, historically landmarked neighborhood. Preservation of the vintage home exteriors has resulted in a beautiful display of historic homes.
 
The Garden Walk will feature shade and sunny landscapes, both small and large. Garden lovers will find the delightful gardens a joy to visit, and may discover ideas to take home to their own gardens.
 
The Garden Walk and Art Fair will be held June13-14, 10-6 rain or shine.  A $7 donation is suggested for adults, with children under 12 attending free. The Garden Walk is included in attendee’s donations. Maps of the Garden Walk will be available at Fair entrance gates.
 
The Old Town Triangle Association hosts and produces the Garden Walk and the Art Fair with the assistance of hundreds of volunteers. The Old Town Triangle Association is a not-for-profit community organization. Proceeds from the annual Art Fair event support local schools, arts and cultural programs, children’s programs, historic and architectural preservation projects.

Old Town Art Fair:

The Nationally ranked #2 of U.S Juried Fine Art Fairs, the Old Town Art Fair (www.oldtownartfair.com) will be held June 13-14. The Fair will be in Chicago’s historic tree-lined Old Town Triangle neighborhood, featuring 250 juried artists. The Fair includes the Garden Walk. Displaying a large variety of art will be 250 acclaimed juried artists, of which over 100 will be new to the Old Town Fair. Featured artists are selected by an independent jury of many of Chicago’s most respected artists, gallery owners, and museum curators. Fair attendees will meet the artists and have an opportunity to view and purchase exceptional pieces of art, including painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, and works in wood, stone, and glass. The Fair is held in the Old Town Triangle residential neighborhood bounded by North Park, Wisconsin, Lincoln Park West, and Menomonee. Main entrance gate is at Lincoln and Wisconsin. A $7 donation is suggested for adults. Children ages 12 and under can attend free. Donation includes entry to Garden Walk.
