Oregon State Button Society Show and Sale Celebrates the Historical and Modern Button, Keizer, OR

 

There will be hundreds of thousands of buttons for sale by dealers from across the country. In addition, the show will feature educational displays and a judged button competition.

 

 

Keizer, Oregon, April 20, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Button collectors will gather in Keizer Oregon, just north of Salem, the weekend of Friday, May 1st (10-5) , and Saturday May 2nd (10-4) , at the Keizer Quality Suites, 5188 Wittenberg Lane NE., Keizer Oregon, for the Oregon State Button Society’s Annual Show and Sale. Keizer is just north of Salem.

 

Collectors, dealers, tailors and seamstresses, jewelry and costume designers, and quilters and crafters of all types and ages are welcome. There will be hundreds of thousands of buttons for sale by dealers from across the country. In addition, the show will feature educational displays and a judged button competition. There will be buttons from exquisitely made, antique, 18th century, to vintage, and modern, (post-1980) buttons, along with studio buttons made by artisans for collectors. There will be Bakelite, celluloid, Victorian glass, calicos, uniform buttons of all types, enamels, all types of metals, mother of pearl shell, and much more, including buttons made with such materials as rubber, polymers, ceramic, horn, bone, and tagua nut.

 

Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted.
