Pacific Arts Association Presents the Drayton Harbor Music Festival & Camp, Blaine, WA

 

 

Blaine, Washington, June 23, 2016 - Registration is now open for the 2016 Drayton Harbor Music Festival Camp, July 10 to 16. World-class musicians will come together in scenic Blaine, WA to perform and teach students ages 12 to 19. This unique music camp challenges and inspires students to reach their musical potential – offering group and individual training in jazz, vocal, classical to contemporary, song writing and more. The Camp will take place at Blaine Performing Arts Center, 975 H St and G St., Plaza, Blaine, WA.
 
The Drayton Harbor Music Festival Camp welcomes students with experience in all musical styles and instruments. Students who attend this music camp experience an intense week of instruction from renowned faculty. They also perform with these professional musicians during festival week.
 
The music camp provides a fun and positive educational experience for young artists. Students experience remarkable progress in one week. According to a past student, the camp has “Super great people [and] cool and knowledgeable teachers.” While a parent said, “Our son had an absolutely incredible time at DHMF camp…the instruction was invaluable and really, really fun.”
 
Camp tuition is $400.00 for the week. Scholarships are available for eligible students.

About the Drayton Harbor Music Festival
The 15th annual Drayton Harbor Music Festival, previously known as the Blaine Jazz Festival, is a week of exciting ensemble classes and concerts in the border town of Blaine, Washington (35 miles south of Vancouver, Canada and 110 miles north of Seattle). The Pacific Arts Association, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in the community, organizes the festival with the support of donors, sponsors and volunteers.
