9th Annual Palisade International Honeybee Festival, Palisade, CO


This grass-roots festival of volunteers provides education through the arts, crafts, lectures, food preparation, demonstrations and distribution of published materials.

 

 

Palisade, Colorado, February 17, 2017 - The 9th Annual Palisade International Honeybee Festival will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at  various locations in the Town of Palisade, Colorado, offering a fun-filled and educational day of celebrating the industrious honeybee. There will be a Welcoming Reception on Friday, April 7.

 

The outdoor festival celebration features street vendors, children's events, educational exhibits and live entertainment.  Education is promoted through the arts, crafts, lectures, food preparation, demonstrations and distribution of published materials. The festival highlights the many beneficial products that derive from honeybees. Honeybees help everyone - from personal consumption of honey to the pollination of commercial orchards and other crops.

Why “International?”
The organizers (a grass-roots festival of volunteers) are calling this event an “International” festival because the crisis has international implications. They hope to bring together bee keepers, agricultural experts and artists to Palisade from around the globe.
