University Park's Penn Stater  Conference Center Hotel Celebrates Twenty Years of Innovation

 

From the National Autism Conference, which draws hundreds of researchers, educators, and caregivers from around the country each year, to the annual Charity Ball to benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, the Penn Stater has set the stage for innovation, education and service.

University Park, Pennsylvania, May 13, 2014óFor 20 years The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel has hosted politicians, celebrities, and internationally known experts in fields as diverse as astrostatistics and Autism, as well as weddings and Motherís Day celebrations. On May 7, the hotel begins commemorating or observing its own anniversary, celebrating 20 years as an integral part of the University and State College community.
 
Built in 1994 as the Penn State Scanticon International, the hotel was designed to serve as an anchor for Innovation Park, Penn Stateís research and small business incubator, and to help the University fulfill its mission to impact lives within the immediate community and around the world. Renamed The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in 1997, the hotel continues to fulfill that mission today.
 
From the National Autism Conference, which draws hundreds of researchers, educators, and caregivers from around the country each year, to the annual Charity Ball to benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, the Penn Stater has set the stage for innovation, education and service. Itís all part of the normal routine for one of Pennsylvaniaís largest and most technologically sophisticated hotels. The hotel boasts 58,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, which accents the 300 graciously appointed rooms.
