Lakeside Arts and Music Festival, Pine Lake, GA, October 4th - 5th


Pine Lake, Georgia, September 26, 2014 ( - Get away to Pine Lake, one of metro Atlanta's hidden gems, located between Decatur and Stone Mountain and just barely OTP.  In addition to an artist market with local and regional vendors, live music, great food, and family activities, the Pine Lake's LakeFest 2014 provides some fabulous features you are unlikely to find anywhere else:
- Floatzilla: a spectacular and wacky boat parade in which participants decorate their kayaks, canoes and other non-motorized watercraft to compete for honor and cash prizes. This year's theme is “Whatever Floats Your Boat.” 

- Rock Paper Scissors Tournament
- A Drum Circle to kick off the festivities
- Chalk Art Contest (a $100, $50, and  $25 prizes)
- Saturday Evening Concert featuring The Rainmen
- Health and Wellness vendor area, featuring massage, Reiki, fresh vegetables, more
- Pet show and parade
- Poetry stage featuring 23 poets across two days of festivities
- Hula Hooping Contest
- Free classes in felting, land art, making egg ornaments, and hula hooping
- Giant Bubble-making station
- Conversation coves tucked among artist vendor tents for lakeside relaxation
Stage acts to include: Diane Durrett, Hannah Thomas, Elise Witt, Mick Kinney, Eva Sotus, Melanie Hammet, Rick Price, Julie Austin, and the Momcats.
This free festival is located at 4576 Lakeshore Drive, Pine Lake, Georgia.
