Omaha, Nebraska, February 24, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Back from China, documentary filmmaker Dale Johnson will present his new film, “China Rising," live, for Omaha World Adventurers, Thursday, March 5 at Village Pointe Theaters, 304 North 174 Street, Omaha. There will be two showings: 2:00 p.m. and 7:30p.m.; tickets at the door are $14.00.

A former Johnson Space Center and NASA documentary producer, Dale Johnson is one of the most talented filmmakers in the US today.

Johnson’s childhood thought was, “If you drill straight down through the Earth you would come out in China.” That’s not how he got there. The flight was 13-hours, from Chicago to Beijing and what did he find, “Tourists, everywhere I looked there were tourists, hundreds of them and mostly Chinese,” Johnson said.  China’s population is over a billion. The modernist city of Shanghai has 24 million people, four times larger than NY City. There are over 3000 buildings higher than 30 stories, and the Shanghai World Financial Tower tops out at 121 stories.

Today, over twenty Chinese companies are manufacturing automobiles. In 2013 Chinese bought more cars than the US. It has more millionaires than the US and has the richest woman in the world. She built a fortune on recycled waste from America.

Johnson also visited many historical sites, a place where millionaires shop, and an upscale supermarket.
