Ramblers Announces 2018 Guided Walking Tour Departures: England, Ireland, Scotland

Ramblers offers five of their most popular walking tours in 2018 featuring a new departure to Ireland and an extended Coast to Coast walk that can be done as a whole or split between two years.

Montclair, VA, October 3, 2017 – From its rolling ‘wolds,’ and tranquil lakes, to its rugged highlands and dramatic coastlines, the United Kingdom offers some of the most spectacular and idyllic country sides in the world. And no one brings you closer to the English landscape than Ramblers, whose expert guides have been leading walking tours for over 25 years.

In 2018, Ramblers revives five of their most popular tours culled from twenty-six years of leading memorable walking journeys. These walking tours are a wonderful way for travelers to explore the natural beauty outside and experience an authentic and genuine connection to the people and scenery.

Highlights of the Rambler’s bucket-list worthy walking tours:

Cotswolds: (7 Days)
Just 100 miles west of London, the Cotswolds is an area of England steeped in history and old world charm, complete with thatched cottages and ornately spired churches. In 2012 Ramblers has added the quaint town of Chipping Campden to the tour, a village dating back to the 14th century. Rolling ‘wolds,’ beech forests, and modest elevation changes create a picturesque landscape perfectly suited for Rambler’s gentlest series of walks, with walkers ambling five to ten miles daily.

England’s Lake District Inn to Inn: ( 8 Days)
Walk through the heart of the Lake District with lodging along the way at some of the Lakeland’s most delightful country hotels and inns. Experience ever-changing spectacular views of fields, moors, woodlands and mountains. The Inn-to-Inn tour allows walkers to explore the same breathtaking scenery with five to ten mile walks with moderate ascents, changing venues each evening.

England’s Coast to Coast: (19 Days or split between East and West routes)
From the Irish Sea to the North Sea, England’s Coast to Coast Tour leads travelers through the diverse landscapes of England’s countryside, highlighting rugged mountains and cerulean lakes, culminating with the spectacular scenery of the island’s coastal regions. Coast to Coast East begins in St. Bees and ends in Keld and is 10 days. Coast to Coast West begins in Keld and is 10 days.

Scotland: (8 Days)
Ramblers offers two distinct tours that explore Scotland’s magical and rugged highlands. Travelers can choose to spend time in the mysterious Celtic mists of the islands of Skye, Lewis, and Harris on the Isle of Skye and Outer Hebrides tour; or they can explore the Western Highlands and Isle of Skye with the local Scottish guide!

Ireland: Connemara Ramble: (8 Days)
Located a short bus ride from Dublin, Connemara is located in County Galway and has strong ties to traditional Irish culture. This area is made up of a wild, rocky coastline made more dramatic by the nearby mountains. The area is steeped in Irish history with ancient forts, abbeys and Connemara pony farms.

Register for any of these tours by January 1st, 2018 and receive a $150 discount. For ongoing departures check the Ramblers website at www.Ramblers.com.
