Montana's Red Ants Pants Music Festival 2013 Draws Big Name Acts

The draw: big name acts including Merle Haggard, Robert Earl Keen, Donna the Buffalo, and Greg Brown, along with more than two dozen other performers.

White Sulphur Springs, Montana, April 7, 2013 - Since the silver mining boom of the 1880s, few events have drawn a larger crowd to the central Montana community of White Sulphur Springs than the Red Ants Pants Music Festival.

This year’s festival, July 25-28th, is expected to attract a crowd more than eight times the size of this ranching community and county seat with a population of 950. The draw: big name acts including Merle Haggard, Robert Earl Keen, Donna the Buffalo, and Greg Brown, along with more than two dozen other performers.

The festival, which is in its third year, benefits the Red Ants Pants Foundation, a nonprofit organization in support of women's leadership, working farms and ranches, and rural communities.

A three-day weekend pass is $115 in advance, and $130 at the gate.  One-day passes are $45 in advance and $50 at the gate.  Camping is $15 per person for the weekend.  Kids 12 and under are free for festival and camping when accompanied by an adult.
