Savannah, Georgia (August 1, 2013) - The inaugural Revival Fest will take place Saturday, September 14th at the old Paint Shops at the Georgia State Railroad Museum in Savannah. The day long festival will feature two stages, 12 bands, a pig roast, and an oyster roast. Additional plans include a craft bourbon tasting tent, local and regional craft beers as well as local farm-to-table food. A portion of the proceeds of the event will benefit the Savannah Children’s Museum, also located on the site.

Music for the festival will focus on Blues, Southern Rock, Americana, Bluegrass, Gospel, Folk and Soul with a combination of local, regional and national acts. A sneak peek is available at Revivalfest.org.  According to MusicFile Productions CEO Kayne Lanahan, “It’s an idea we've been kicking around for a year or two; to marry the Roots/Americana revival in music with our great local and regional food; sort of like a New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for the Low Country."  Cedric Burnside, Luella & The Sun, Wild Child and Truth & Salvage Co are confirmed to play, among others.

Tickets are on sale at the Savannah Box Office.

Revival Fest is a MusicFile Productions, LLC event, from the folks who  bring you Savannah Stopover Music Festival.
