Barefoot in the Park Fine Arts Festival, Duluth, GA, May 9th & 10th

 

Attendees can browse the Juried Fine Artist Market made up of original works including: glass, metal, jewelry, printmaking, ceramics, watercolor, photography, wood, sculpture, painting, and mixed media. Barefoot in the Park is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit festival whose mission is to raise awareness of the arts and to support arts education in Gwinnett County.

Duluth, Georgia, April 23, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) -  The 11th Annual Barefoot in the Park Fine Arts Festival will take place on the Town Green in Duluth, GA on Saturday, May 9th from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, May 10th from 10am to 5pm. Barefoot and the City of Duluth are proud to celebrate eleven consecutive years of bringing some of the most outstanding regional artists, entertainment, and flavors to Greater Atlanta and Northeast Georgia. Admission is free.
 
Barefoot in the Park exists to educate communities through a fun and approachable festival-like environment. Attendees can browse the Juried Fine Artist Market made up of original works including: glass, metal, jewelry, printmaking, ceramics, watercolor, photography, wood, sculpture, painting, and mixed media.
 
Proceeds go to an Arts Education Scholarship Fund that has granted over $58,000 in awards since the beginning of Barefoot. The festival offers something for everyone on Motherís Day weekend. Children can participate in an array of free activities in the Childrenís Art Park and adults can take part in the Adult Learning Village and try their hand at the potterís wheel and much more. Or, just relax and enjoy the entertainment from the Main Festival Stage or Second Stages.
 
Barefoot in the Park is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit festival whose mission is to raise awareness of the arts and to support arts education in Gwinnett County. For the past 11 years, the festival has dedicated a substantial portion of the event revenues to the Barefoot in the Park Grant Program. These grants support qualified non-profit arts and cultural organizations, who participate, perform and volunteer at Barefoot, and whose efforts support Barefootís mission.
