San Francisco, California, August 8, 2014 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - The San Francisco Fringe Festival returns for its 23rd year with 35 examples of the best in stunning, surprising, and often over-the-top new theatre. There’s everything from sketch comedy to Russian-style Vaudeville, from angry ghosts disrupting a tech startup to a pair of clowns sharing a dream, from a new take on speed dating to a tale of the murder of the West Coast’s most famous promoter of black music. Plus the tale of an amnesiac Belgian cabaret singer discovered frozen in a block of ice at the North Pole.

The 23rd Annual San Francisco Fringe Festival runs for 14 days, September 5-20, 2014, at the EXIT Theatreplex, 156 Eddy Street, in downtown San Francisco. The run of 14 days includes three weekends. The only days the theatre is dark are Mondays.

Tickets for the 14-day San Francisco Fringe Festival are $10 (or less) at the door (cash only) and $12.99 (or less) online.  The ten-show Frequent Fringer pass is $75, and a five-show pass is $45. The EXIT Theatreplex is within walking distance of Union Square and the Powell Street BART station. For complete listings of venues, shows, and times, go to www.sffringe.org. (415) 673-3847.
