Sonoma County Museum Launches Interactive Website

The interactive site will  allow the public to browse information about current exhibits, preview future exhibits and search an archive of information about past exhibits.

Santa Rosa, California, May 15, 2013 – The Sonoma County Museum has announced the launch of its new website. Designed by NonProfitEasy, the new site will sustain the museum’s mission to maintain broad support through community outreach, compelling exhibits and education programs that make the museum the center of the cultural community.

The interactive site will  allow the public to browse information about current exhibits, preview future exhibits and search an archive of information about past exhibits. Highlights of the new site include the ability to purchase or renew memberships and donate to a specific project or program. The new site simplifies the event registration and ticketing process through an online calendar where visitors can view a schedule of events, then purchase tickets and sign up for workshops. In addition, those interested in supporting the museum by volunteering can view open positions and download a volunteer application. To support its education initiative, the site offers downloadable Educator Guides for current and past exhibits.

“The time was right for us to focus additional attention on our online presence,” said Diane Evans, Executive Director of the museum. “We wanted to ensure that we could showcase current projects so the community could access information about the museum as efficiently as possible.  The residents of Sonoma County are vital to our mission and this is one way for us to interact with the people who have been incredibly supportive over the years.”

The new site can be found at www.sonomacountymuseum.org.
