Valentine's Day With the South Arkansas Symphony, El Dorado, AR

 

Featured guest artists Dr. Randal Rushing (tenor)

 

El Dorado, Arkansas, January 30, 2015 (McKenzieNewsService.com) - Romance is in the air and music director of the South Arkansas Symphony Kermit Poling has programmed three of the most beautiful pieces to fit the occasion.  Flowers, chocolates, and music dedications read from the stage will add to the Valentineís Day experience on February 14, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium (100 West 8th St.).
 
Featured guest artists include Dr. Randal Rushing (tenor) and Thomas Hundemer (horn) who will draw the audience in with poetry and hypnotic music in Brittenís Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings. The concert will include the rarely heard original instrumentation of Coplandís Appalachian Spring and Holstís Green Brook Suite.
 
Dedication opportunities will be given to members of the audience. A $25 patron donation will give a rose, chocolate, and a dedication opportunity to be read from the stage during the concert.
 
This combination of music will be beautiful and will give the listeners a chance to fall in love this Valentineís Day.

About the South Arkansas Symphony: 
The South Arkansas Symphony produces performances of the highest artistic quality. Founded in 1956 as one of the first orchestras in Arkansas, the South Arkansas Symphony is a 70 member professional orchestra serving the South Arkansas region.  Today, the orchestra is oldest, longest standing in the state. With a budget of $500,000, the orchestra presents a mains series of seven to twelve events and performs throughout the South Arkansas region. In addition, all performances are broadcast on Red River Radio to four states and occasionally on the PBS station AETN throughout Arkansas.
