Pink Heals Tri-Cities Fire Engine Unveiling
Greater St. Charles CVB Welcomes Pink Heals Fire Engine Unveiling at Scarecrow Fest

 

 

St. Charles, Illinois – On Saturday, October 7, 2017 a special unveiling of the new Pink Heals Tri-Cities Pink Fire Engine will take place during the 32nd annual Scarecrow Fest. The unveiling will take place at 12:30pm in the Baltria Zone of the Fest, outside City Hall at the Municipal Building (2 East Main Street, St. Charles). The short ceremony will include having the first signatures placed onto the fire engine as well as dedication music played by Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums. Admission is free.


Local firefighter and Pink Heals Tri-Cities chapter president Dave Kawecki emphasized the care and dedication that new Pink Heals chapter has for the residents of this community. “The purpose of it is to raise awareness and spread support and love to women in the Tri-City area that are going through any set illness or battle.” Kawecki and a team of volunteer will be on hand at Scarecrow Fest after the ceremony to provide more information about Pink Heals and the Pink Heals Tri-Cities IL.


Lula S. Cassidy of the Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau sees including the Pink Heals ceremony as an event within the Fest as an important and honorable activity. “Dave Kawecki and the team at Pink Heals are embarking upon the very thing the St. Charles community is known for – being a warm and welcoming expression of care and support. The GSCCVB is honored to have the opportunity to give Pink Heals a meaningful venue to unveil this new fire truck and the opportunity to tell others about the great work they will be doing.”


Darius Grigaliunas, President of local business Baltria Vintage Auto will share space in his sponsor zone to make room for the ceremony and dedication, reinforcing his support for the new chapter in the St. Charles community and appreciation for the future service and support it will provide to its residents Mayor Ray Rogina will make a proclamation for the Pink Heals Tri-Cities chapter this evening’s at the City of St. Charles City council meeting.
