ARTIST QUOTES:

“I am thrilled to be going into my second year with the Santa Fe Studio Tour! I'll be introducing an exciting, totally new line of stabilized, hand-painted silk jewelry and look forward to sharing it! Alice Bailey, jewelry designer

“Some folks refer to Santa Fe as the ‘City Different.’  A much more accurate name would be ‘The City Creative.’  Santa Fe Studio Tour is a reflection of this creativity.” Heidi Loewen, sculptor, porcelain artist, teacher

“I branched out this year to completely renovate my sculpture garden to prepare for an exhibition of 20 monumental works called "Origami in the Garden".  I am very excited to see this entire collection in one place for the first time this summer before it travels to Public Gardens across North America.”  Kevin Box, sculptor

“Dynamic group of artists, willing to share their creative visions. The SFST pushes you to a higher level of personal commitment, process and evolution.” Suzannah Sale, painter

“My world as an artist is filled with images. Some of these images are "true" to what I see, others are a kaleidoscope of color and form that takes place within my imagination.” Jayne Levant, painter

“For me, the reverence for painting is found in the grind and the muck. Scraping, covering, excavating, layering- a constant beginning again and again. An activity in search of the veils of light-a dialogue with soul.” Lauren Mantecon, The Alchemy of Art Workshops

“I am excited to be participating on the studio tour for the first time.   As a recent resident to Santa Fe, my new space at Dragonstone studios will help introduce my work to new collectors.”  Cherie O’Brien, painter
