At Wesleyan Potters the perfectly rounded red vase by Lori Lapin with the lustrous surface calls out to be picked up and touched. Vicente Garcia’s fine art sculptures made from industrial metal look strong and elegant and want to be closely inspected to fully understand the aesthetics of the piece.  View the colorful felted cashmere mittens by Cecelia Michaelis and luxuriate in softness and warmth. Shopping at the annual exhibit and sale is a tactile experience; the members want you to pick up and feel the merchandise in order to appreciate the fine quality of the work.

Event Co-Chair Kathryn O'Neill conveys "Every item presented at the Annual Sale is an embodiment of the artists' spirit and dreams, and their labor of love to bring those dreams into reality.  The intricate pattern of a scarf, the comfortable curve of a mug handle, the geometric sparkle of an earring, all speak in a silent language which allows the customer to share those dreams."

Works featured are by local and internationally known artists in ceramics, wood, fibers, metal, glass, paper and more are celebrated at the Wesleyan Potters 60th Annual Exhibit and Sale from November 27 through December 13, 2015.   Contemporary crafts exemplify the authenticity of handmade, a currently significant trend in American culture.  Wesleyan Potters, Inc.
